BA in Int'l Relations (Chinese Language)

Bachelor of Arts in International Relations

                                          (Chinese language programme)

The BA in International Relations offers the students a specialization in Economic Diplomacy and is entirely taught in Chinese. The entire batch consists of international students only. The programme offers international students the chance to study International Relations in a complete Chinese setting, surrounded by an outstanding Chinese faculty.

Upon graduation students are prepared for internationally-focused careers in government, NGOs, and the private sectors, specifically in departments dealing with China or Chinese foreign affairs. During the four years of academic study, students develop the skills they need to understand and take part in an interconnected world: political awareness, economic understanding, cultural competency, and global citizenship. Additionally, they gain a superior understanding of the Chinese economy and political system.

The curriculum is firmly rooted in the liberal arts and sciences, inherently interdisciplinary, and aimed at helping students to think critically, clearly and methodologically about the most pressing global economic challenges.

SIR faculty and courses help students acquire critical intellectual dispositions and expanded practical and theoretical knowledge - enabling them to think critically, creatively, and independently about important international issues.

SIR adds a particular emphasis in the growing role played by China in the international arena and the principles subsiding the Chinese stance. There is truly no better place for an independent study of International Relations, where the insights behind the Chinese drive in IR engagement are so clearly emphasized!
